Angela Vu – English Curriculum vitae

Who Is Angela Vu? The Journey of an Educator, Marketer, Speaker and Founder of LIT Education

In a world where language, technology and global thinking are becoming essential skills, I believe education should go beyond certificates, test scores or classroom performance. True education should help people understand themselves better, communicate with confidence and prepare for the future with a stronger mindset.

My name is Angela Vu, also known as Vu Minh Trang. I am the Founder and CEO of LIT Education, a marketing lecturer, multilingual educator, speaker, author and advocate for AI-powered learning.

Looking at my professional journey, you may see different roles: educator, marketing consultant, MC, speaker, author, curriculum developer and business founder. But for me, all these roles are connected by one mission: helping people learn better, communicate better and grow with confidence in a rapidly changing world.

From Marketing to Education: A Journey Built on Human Understanding

My academic background started with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. I later pursued a Master of Science in Marketing at the University of Salford in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Studying and living in an international environment helped me understand that marketing is not simply about advertising or selling. Marketing is about understanding people, identifying real needs and creating meaningful value for the right audience.

That mindset shaped the way I work in both business and education. Over the years, I have worked as a marketing and sales consultant for companies across many industries, including education, food and beverage, restaurants, hospitality, fashion, sports, real estate and professional services.

I have been involved in building marketing strategies, organizing launch campaigns, developing brand identities, conducting market research and supporting businesses from the early stages of growth. These experiences taught me one important lesson: whether you are an individual or a company, sustainable growth always begins with continuous learning.

Founding LIT Education: Building an Ecosystem for Language, Technology and Global Growth

In 2016, I started the journey that later became LIT Education. At the beginning, my goal was simple: to help Vietnamese learners approach foreign languages in a more practical, enjoyable and meaningful way.

After years of teaching and working with students, I realized that many people are not afraid of languages because they lack ability. They are afraid because they have experienced the wrong learning methods, lost motivation or failed to see how language connects with their real life.

That is why LIT Education was built with a broader vision. LIT is not only a place to study IELTS, TOEIC, HSK or business English. It is an educational ecosystem that combines language learning, career orientation and technology.

At LIT Education, we aim to help learners develop not only language skills, but also confidence, critical thinking, global awareness and the ability to use technology intelligently.

For me, education is not about filling a student with information. Education is about lighting a fire.

A Marketing Lecturer and Curriculum Developer

Besides my role as Founder and CEO of LIT Education, I have spent many years teaching at universities and professional training institutions.

I have worked as a Marketing Subject Leader at FPT University, a Marketing Lecturer at BTEC, a Marketing Lecturer at Swinburne University, and a Digital Marketing Lecturer in English for the joint program between Foreign Trade University and the University of Bedfordshire.

My teaching work has not only involved classroom delivery. I have also recruited lecturers, designed syllabuses, developed teaching resources, created slides, built online learning videos and contributed to curriculum development for marketing courses.

To me, a good teacher does not only deliver knowledge. A good teacher understands the learner’s fear, motivation, goal and learning style. The best learning experience is one that makes students feel capable, curious and ready to take action.

Language Skills and International Perspective

Language has always been an important part of my life and career. I speak Vietnamese as my native language, have strong English proficiency, Chinese proficiency with HSK 5, basic Italian and an Australian TESOL teaching certificate.

I have also travelled to 30 countries and 50 cities. These experiences gave me a wider perspective on culture, communication, education and the way people learn in different environments.

For me, learning a language is not just about memorizing vocabulary or mastering grammar. It is about opening a new way of thinking, connecting with people and accessing opportunities beyond your own country.

That is why I always try to bring an international mindset into my teaching, whether I am teaching English, Chinese, marketing or communication skills.

MC, Speaker and Storyteller in Education

Before focusing deeply on education and marketing, I also worked as a television MC, event host and public speaker.

I hosted children’s programs on VTC11, livestream programs for Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and many conferences and professional events. I have also spoken at programs on personal branding, career orientation, AI marketing, foreign languages and education.

Some of the programs I have joined include events at Vietnam National University, Foreign Trade University, high schools in Hanoi, AI Marketing seminars and international conferences.

For me, public speaking is not about showing off. It is about making an idea clear, honest and useful for the audience.

Author and Educational Content Creator

Alongside teaching and management, I have also written books, edited learning materials and developed educational content.

Some of the books and learning materials I have worked on include Practical Fengshui, Soft Skills for Children, IELTS Writing Task 1, IELTS Writing Task 2 and AI 9 Ngày Yêu.

I care deeply about making knowledge easier to understand. A good book or learning resource should not make learners feel small or incapable. It should help them think, “I can understand this. I can do this.”

That is also the spirit behind the learning products at LIT Education: practical, structured, easy to apply and suitable for Vietnamese learners.

Why I Care About AI in Education

In recent years, AI has rapidly changed the way we learn and work. Some people feel excited, while others feel confused or even afraid of being left behind.

I believe AI will not replace learners. It will not replace teachers either. But AI will change how we learn, how we teach and how we design learning experiences.

When used properly, AI can help learners personalize their study path, practice speaking, improve writing, correct mistakes, expand vocabulary, simulate real-life communication and save a great amount of time.

For teachers and educational organizations, AI can support content creation, student progress tracking, learning assessment and personalized support.

That is why I continue to work with the LIT Education team to develop learning programs that combine language, technology and AI. The goal is not to make learners dependent on technology. The goal is to help them use technology wisely, actively and responsibly.

Key Milestones in My Journey

Throughout my journey, I have had the opportunity to experience many roles and achievements.

I won First Prize in the Vietnamese Startup Competition in 2014 organized by VCCI and Second Prize in the Kawai Startup Competition in 2013 at Foreign Trade University. I also achieved Top Sales at Great Eastern in 2014.

In education, I have received strong teaching evaluations from students and have contributed to marketing education, language training, corporate English training and curriculum development across different institutions.

However, the achievements I value most are not only awards or titles. What matters most to me is seeing a student overcome the fear of English, a working professional use AI to reduce workload, a young learner gain direction for studying abroad or a business find a clearer path through the right strategy.

Today, I continue to work in education, marketing, writing, content development and AI-powered learning. The journey is not always easy, but it is meaningful.

I want this blog to become a place where I share what I have learned from my work and life: language learning, marketing, AI, education, career orientation, personal growth and the journey of building LIT Education.
